Check Panic Full processes the content of the panic logs you submit, with device identifiers (crashReporterKey, incident number) removed before storage, the diagnosis reports you unlock, and your email address if you create an account. Your IP address is only used in hashed form to prevent abuse. Payments, including business VAT numbers, are handled by Stripe.
Who is responsible for your data?
The data controller is Ozapp, based in Belgium, which operates Check Panic Full (checkpanicfull.com). For any question about your data, write to hello@checkpanicfull.com.
What data do we process?
The content of the logs you submit
When you analyze a panic-full file, we process its technical content: model identifier, iOS version, panic string and the related system information. Before a log is stored, device identifiers are removed, in particular the crashReporterKey and the incident / report number.
We keep this cleaned technical content to improve the diagnosis rules (see the Methodology: How Check Panic Full Reads Panic Logs).
Diagnosis reports
For each analysis, we keep a summary of the result: signature, model, part identified, confidence level. When you unlock a diagnosis, we keep the report so that you can reopen it, download the PDF and share it. Anyone who has the share link can view the report: only share it with your customer or people you trust. The report never contains device identifiers.
Your email address, if you create an account
An account is optional for a single diagnosis and required for packs. If you create one, we process your email address to send you sign-in links, manage your credit balance and list your diagnoses. If you enter a shop name, it is stored to appear on your PDF reports.
Your IP address, in hashed form
To protect the service against abuse (automated requests, overload), we apply technical rate limits using a hash of your IP address. It is not used to count free analyses, and your IP address is never stored in clear.
Payment data
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe and never reach our servers. Stripe collects the information needed for the payment and the invoice; for businesses, this includes the VAT number entered at checkout. We receive only what is needed to confirm the payment, unlock the diagnosis or add your credits, and keep our accounts.
Why do we process this data?
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Running the analysis you request | Log content, diagnosis | Performance of the service |
| Delivering and keeping your reports | Report, share link | Performance of the contract |
| Preventing abuse | Hashed IP | Legitimate interest (security of the service) |

| Improving the rules | Cleaned log content | Legitimate interest |
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Who else handles the data?
- Cloudflare hosts the site and its data.
- Stripe processes payments and collects the VAT number of businesses.
These providers act within the limits of their own contracts and privacy commitments.
What are your rights?
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- access the data we hold about you;
- correct it if it is inaccurate;
- delete it (except what we must keep for accounting);
- object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- restrict processing;
- receive your data in a portable format.
To exercise these rights, write to hello@checkpanicfull.com. If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
A word about your customers
If you analyze a log from a customer's iPhone, the identifiers are removed before storage, but the log still describes their device. Only submit logs you are entitled to handle as part of the repair.
How is the data protected?
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to stored data is limited to what is needed to run and improve the service. Sign-in uses one-time links sent by email, so there is no password to store.
